Board of Investment of Thailand organized a seminar on “Investment Opportunities in Thailand 2017” at Hotel Scandic Solli, Oslo

On 12 May 2017, H.E. Mr. Prasittiporn Wetprasit, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, presided over a seminar on “Investment  Opportunitites in Thailand 2017” organized by the Board of Investment (BOI) of Thailand at Hotel Scandic Solli in Oslo.

In this occasion, Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, Deputy Secretary General of BOI, gave a presentation regarding Thailand’s Foreign Investment Policies highlighting the country’s strengths of a business friendly environment and strategic location as a gateway to the ASEAN Economic Community.

Dr. Phornphan Tannukit, Director of Digital Economy and Society Strategy Division, Ministry of Digital Economic and Society, presented the Thai government’s “Thailand 4.0” campaign, which aims to increase the country’s competitiveness and growth potential of the economy in the long run through innovation, and therefore would be an attractive choice for foreign businesses that are looking to expand RnD operations in the region. Thailand continues to be a source of high quality manufactured and how IT can support the foreign investors, to be a testimonial of the investment opportunity in Thailand.

After the presentations, there was a Q&A session followed by a networking reception. There were approximately 50 participants to the event.

This event is the annual seminar which has been organized every year since 2014. To provide Norwegian investors with updated information about Thailand and its latest investment policies.
